Media Rooms

A media room is a dedicated room built to incorporate state of the art sound reproduction for the audiophile with the latest in video technologies. Media rooms have some sort of high definition display in the form of a CRT TV, rear projection DLP/LCOS/LCD, front projection DLP/DILA/LCD, or plasma screen. The screen size can range from 50” – over 150”. The audio system will be a multi-speaker surround sound package, with a surround sound processor similar to movie theater sound, multi-channel amp(s), left and right front speakers, a center channel speaker, and at least one pair of surround sound speakers with subwoofer. These systems are able to use advanced digital technologies like Dolby Digital (DD) 5.1/7.1, Digital Theater System (DTS-ES), or THX which improve the viewing experience by bringing the movie theater sound into your home.  These systems can be a very simple receiver based system, or be an audiophile based system with many separate components and audio/video sources.
